Amazon has revolutionized grocery shopping in more ways than one. Now, the first Amazon Fresh grocery store has opened in Woodland Hills, CA.

The location offers all the products of a normal supermarket, including Whole Foods 365-branded items, with added technological features like Amazon Dash Cart and Alexa. Customers can also order freshly-prepared foods from the bakery or deli.

The store is also an Amazon package pick-up location and accepts Amazon returns.

In the store, customers can use Alexa to find grocery items on the premises and manage shopping lists. Amazon Echo devices placed around the store can answer questions asked by customers.

The Amazon Dash Cart makes checkout simple for those who want to use skip the checkout line by logging onto their Amazon accounts and leaving through the Dash Cart lane, where payments are processed automatically.

Amazon emphasized the importance of safety at the new site, including temperature checks for employees, mandatory facial coverings, and free masks for customers who need them. The store is also operating at 50% capacity in order to adhere to social distancing rules.
