This Japanese Bakery Is Selling Cat-Shaped Bread—and Now You Can Get It Online

Japan is obsessed with cats and delicious food, so it's no surprise that Neko Neko Shopukan, or Cat Cat Bread, has its own bakery. The bread, shaped like the head of a cat, has been made available for online purchasing since the start of COVID-19 lockdowns.

Neko Neko Shokupan is made from flour grown in Hoikkaido, milk, butter, and honey. It's a paws-itively delicious snack for anyone with a sweet tooth. The bakery is currently selling their cat bread in three flavors: plain, chocolate, and a sweet red bean paste called azuki. In the shop, the bread is also offered in a cheese flavor. The bread is sold in loaves of two, and each package contains two little chocolate pens. How cute!

The Kawaii cat bread has changed the game. Nek Neko Shokupan is only one part of Heart Bread Antique, a chain bakery found all over the country of Japan. Only certain locations include the Nek Neko Shokupan branch.

These cat-shaped loaves are pilowy soft and a similar texture to sponge cake. When the shop first opened in Tokyo, the Internet lost their collective mind. This high-quality bread is certainly a must-try, so be sure to get your hands on a loaf as soon as possible.
