As a coastal state, Georgia wanted to keep an eye on its residents. The state declared that you are not allowed to live on a boat for more than 30 days.
If you ever wanted to buy a houseboat, Georgia is not the state to do it in! Now, you might be able to find a loophole, such as living on a boat for 30 days and then going somewhere else for one and then going back home for another 30. It could work!
