Dwight tops the charts as most fans' favorite characters. The assistant to the regional manager, never not coveting Michael's position, is one of Dunder Mifflin's most eccentric employees. When he does eventually land the "acting" regional manager position, he accidentally shoots a gun in the office and blows the whole gig for himself.

Since the show, actor Rainn Wilson has starred in Star Trek: Discovery, Mom, and The Power. He's definitely best-known for playing Dwight, but he has managed not to typecast himself in the role. He's also a prolific reader and is attuned to politics and news.
