This was a major plot point in the film, but in reality, that solution would never even be considered. Obviously, the director wasn't too concerned about whether or not alien firmware is compatible with human firmware, which is fine. 

Twilight

Twilight follows a group of vampires and one human fangirl. These vampires have powers that make them some of the most powerful beings in the world. So, what do they do with their powers? Play baseball.

In hindsight, this scene does introduce the viewers to the main antagonists, but a lot of fans felt like baseball was a bit weird for powerful vampires to spend their time doing. Shouldn't they be taking over the world?

The Shining

The Shining is a deep movie filled with mise-en-scene imagery. It can be pretty weird at times, but that's what makes it so good! There is one scene that stands out to most viewers, though, that just feels completely out there and unrelated to the story.
