127 Hours
This 2010 biopic starring James Franco describes the real-life tragedy that befell a man named Aron Ralston. Ralson was hiking in Bluejohn Canton when he fell into a crevice and got his arm trapped under a boulder. Ralston was stuck in the crevice for 127 hours before he managed to saw through his own arm and escape.
Walk the Line
"Walk the Line" is a biopic about the life of Johnny Cash starring Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon. Cash struggled deeply in multiple ways throughout his life, and he wrote about those difficulties in both of his autobiographies titled "Man in Black" and "Cash: The Autobiography". These books were acquired by 20th Century Fox in 2005, and they acted as the walking script for the movie.
