Life Hacks That Actually Work

Carabiner's For the One-Trip-Grocery-Shoppers

Use a carabiner to carry in all your groceries at once, because two trips are for weaklings. If you're the type of person who lives by the one-trip lifestyle, then you absolutely need a carabiner. Maybe two, if you can carry bags in both hands. The best part of the carabiner hack is to get a giant one. That means way more bags. Just make sure they're all secure and not ripping!

Keep Your Chocolate Chips Safe

For smaller ingredients like chocolate chips or rice, this is a great hack! To keep it fresh in the bag, use half of an old water bottle and the cap. Place the bag through the old water bottle, wrap it around, and then secure the cap. Done and done, no more spills!

The More You Know

  • Here's a great way to keep track of your daily water intake. Draw lines on your water bottle with a marker pen, and then write the time beside the marked level.
  • By folding shirts KonMari- or military-style and sandwiching (instead of stacking), you can fit more into each dresser drawer and have a better visual of what's inside.
  • As trash bags start to fill up, the bag slithers into the bin and you have to dig it out. To keep handled or drawstring trash bags in place, all you need are two medium or large self-adhesive command hooks.
  • Avoid bad decisions by taking just a minute to focus and calm yourself before making a move.
