Samuel L. Jackson
Jackson has been in over 125 movies during the span of his career, and aside from being a great actor, he's also a pop culture icon. Everyone knows who he is, but he hasn't made enough of an impression on The Academy. His only nomination was from 1995's Pulp Fiction.
Pulp Fiction
Pulp Fiction follows the story of Samuel L. Jackson and John Travolta's crime-fighting characters. Written by Quentin Tarrantino, the movie is told out of chronological order, and features time cards with two different definitions of the word "pulp." It's regarded as one of the best movies ever made.
