Bindi Irwin has had quite an exciting few years. The daughter of famous wildlife conservationist Steve Irwin has grown up to become one of the world's leading animal rights activists in her father's honor. Earlier this year she married longtime boyfriend Chandler Powell and the duo announced their plans for a baby on the way. Well, the couple has some news regarding that baby. It's going to be a girl!
Bindi has been keeping her fans in the loop when it comes to her pregnancy. In an Instagram post last week, Bindi and Chandler took a photo of themselves holding up a sonogram with the caption "Baby Wildlife Warrior is about the size of a hummingbird now! We can’t wait to teach our little one about the importance of protecting our planet and the beauty of the wildlife and wild places we love so much."
In classic Irwin fashion though, Bindi also took this as an opportunity to teach her followers about the animal kingdom. "Our beautiful daughter is now about the same size as a hatchling Aldabra tortoise and is as healthy as can be," she shared with her fans, "We can’t wait for her arrival next year." Chandler took to his own Instagram account to mimic his wife's sentiments. These two are excited for their next chapter of life!
