At the age of 90, former pitcher for the New York Yankees Don Larsen passed away due to esophageal cancer. Larsen is best remembered not only as a baseball player but the pitcher who threw the 6th perfect game in MLB history. The legend did this during Game 5 of the 1956 World Series.

Jason Slater

Jason Slater, the original bassist of Third Eye Blind, passed away this year due to liver failure. He was in the care of a hospital in Maui, Hawaii. He was 49 years old. According to his daughter Alyssa, her father preferred to keep his condition a secret. She herself had only learned of his status a month prior to his death.
